Joomla! had recently released Joomla 1.6.2 which breaks small parts of the back end section of EasyBlog where they are no longer loading the core mootools library on pages that doesn't use them. We have uploaded a new version which will fix these issues but if you are not affected by this, you can just discard this update.

Howdy everyone! We have just released EasyBlog 1.8.155 which addresses a couple of minor issues and solving the conflicts with the new Jomsocial 2.2 release. If the current version of EasyBlog is working well for you, you do not need to perform this upgrade. It is entirely optional.

As we are nearing the completion date of EasyBlog 2.0, I would also like to take this opportunity to suggest new users from performing any hacks because we have revamped and restructured our entire theme structure for easy maintenance in the future for both web developers and end users. The new template structure will mainly use a set of system theme files and most of the styling are done via CSS now.

Some of the features requested by our users was to add the functionality of LinkedIn® into EasyBlog. It will basically behave the same way as Twitter whereby when you post a new blog entry, it'll automatically post them up to your LinkedIn® profile.

Here's a short sneak peak of what's coming up on EasyBlog 2.0 which incorporates LinkedIn®  support. As a blogger, you can associate your account with LinkedIn®
